Vintage Light Green Maribou Feather Trimmed Maxi Dress

Futuristic designer Issey Miyake has mastered the technique of creating sculptural works of art in cloth. His innovative pattern cutting and signature use of micro pleating give his garments a unique form. From the Issey Miyake Spring 2008 collection, this beautiful Avant Garde dress is done in a silver-grey pleated fabric. The dress presents a playful and sophisticated aesthetic throughout as the fabric is arranged in tiers of vertical fin-like folds that extend from the bust to the asymmetric hem of the skirt, creating sinuous columns that give this dress a unique visual movement of its own.
