About the Item

One of a kind fruit bowl or centerpiece by Albert Marionnet . Oval profile in embossed bronze, with a beautiful golden patina, decorated in half relief with corn cobs, leaves and the corn flower, with a hammered bottom. It is the creation of master tanner Frances, hunter and founder Albert Marionnet. It is signed Albert Marionnet (1852-1910) was a French 19th Century sculptor, best-known for his beautiful Art Nouveau designs. Period: Art Nouveau.Circa 1890 Albert Marionnet is a renowned bronze-maker, chiseller and founder, whose company in Paris supplied all the luxury boutiques of the Second Empire and the Third Republic. His works are present in the collections of the Musée d'Orsay. Like many of his fellow bronzemakers of the time, his skills lay on the borderline between art and the decorative arts.
