Large Arras Wrought Iron Garden Bench
About the Item
A large Arras wrought iron and timber garden bench, circa 1900.
Refurbished with reclaimed elm slats, a very comfortable and stylish bench from the famous Arras Foundry in Northern France which operated throughout the 19th century, until the beginning of the 1st world war.
The hoof feet were typical for designs after the 1900's, prior to this date the lions paw feet were in production.
Arras garden furniture is becoming harder to source, this particular size of bench is a rare find and would look superb in a garden or on a patio.
