19th Century Mortar & Pestle with Original Surface
About the Item
American, late 18th century/early 19th century wooden mortar and pestle. The urn shaped mortar with rich patina has a wonderful warmth and feel. The base being ergonomically correct for holding with your hand.
Albeit the pestle in figured maple displays the same surface but we cannot be certain that it is original to the mortar.
Mortar measures 8.5in x 2in.
