Victorian Style Magnifying Glass

About the Item

This is a round magnifying glass with long handle. The magnifying glass is enframed in gilt metal. The long handle is made of dark brown wood, but it is embellished by a hand painted portrait of a lady over an oval shaped porcelain piece. The back of this porcelain is painted wine color. Also a knob like silver metal that is adorned with engraved acanthus leaves is attached to the porcelain piece. These three items made the handle of the magnifying glass.
