Large Italian Light in Copper Repousse and Opaline Shade
About the Item
Large Italian light in copper repousse and opaline shade, hand-made in "stile Liberty" (the Italian variant of Art Nouveau) circa 1900-1920. Hand-hammered repousse bird and floral swag decoration adorns this simple shaped fixture. One large hand-blown opaline shade covers a cluster of three lower lights. Four additional lights which accommodate flat bulbs radiate around the fixture. A single down-turned light is at the top. Includes chain and a canopy (listed measurements do not include chain).
Note: Original/early finish on antique and vintage metal will include some, or all, of the following: patina, scaling, light rust, discoloration, and corrosion.

Wear consistent with age and use. All original parts, but newly wired for use within the USA. Copper developed beautiful natural patina. Style is transitional: Art Nouveau and Deco. Some minor distress to finish of opaline glass.
