Pine and Maple Bench

About the Item

This pine and maple American bench is reconstructed from an American maple cannonball rope bed that would have dated to circa 1840. The seat is made primarily from early 19th century reclaimed pine boards. The underframing from left to right is made from the original round bed rails. The bed was refinished at the time of reconstruction.
