About the Item

The Union Bench Bamboo edition is the only Union Bench produced with a bamboo seat. It was originally designed for an exhibition in Paris but was never exhibited due to the selection of other items for the event. The bench has been in our archive. This piece of art is a signature creation of Jangir Maddadi, where he skillfully intertwines art and design with a timeless appeal. Members of his Union family have been sold worldwide, including to royal families, art museums, and even featured on the set of MIB back in 2014. The base of the bench is made of fiberglass by Swedish yacht builders and is complemented with bamboo. The bamboo is securely fixed to the bench using the same "rubber note" technique found on yacht boats. This piece is intended for central placement, allowing it to be approached from any direction. It serves as a statement piece that should not be overlooked, both in terms of quality and expression. The base is equipped with rubber "feet" to ensure a softer contact with the floor. The bench is easy to handle, and when you place it in your desired location, we recommend filling it with dry sand for optimal stability. Each sphere should be filled with a minimum of 60-80 kg of sand. Once filled, make sure to shake the bench to level the sand inside the spheres, ensuring a balanced and sturdy seating experience. However, if you prefer to avoid the sand filling process, we also offer an alternative solution. For an additional cost of 1500 USD, we can arrange for polished stainless steel feet to be included. These feet will provide stability without the need for sand filling. Please note that this option is available upon request and may require additional processing time. It is important to note that this Bamboo edition is designed for indoor use, as the bamboo is not weatherproof. If you require a weatherproofed edition, we suggest considering our Union Yacht, which features seats made of teak and is specifically designed for outdoor use, such as in pool areas or on patios.
