Contemporary Landscape Art Bush by the Road by Egor Plotnikov
About the Item
Egor Plotnikov works in the field of figurative painting and sculpture, often combining two media in one installation. He is one of the few contemporary Russian artists, whose works are equally represented both in traditional museums and in contemporary art venues.
Plotnikov says: ‘Landscape is indeed the most “museum-type” genre, but at some point I found one of the main tasks for myself: to restore the attractiveness of a landscape it in the field of modern cultural space. Our perception of Landscape has changed over last century. Our panoramic vision has disappeared. We have lost our panoramic vision. We move at a different speed, live inside the screen, and therefore the visible landscape breaks up into fragments - something disappears, something eludes us, something is forgotten.
