Art Deco 1920s Platinum Frosted Rock Crystal and Sapphire Dress Stud Set
About the Item
A set of four sapphire, rock crystal, and platinum dress studs, each comprising one round cabochon of frosted rock crystal, and seven sapphires, set in platinum, with platinum backs.
The dress studs are beautifully designed, creating a real impact. Each dress stud consists of one frosted cabochon of rock crystal, a favourite of the Art Deco era, and a much-coveted style. Each dress stud is set to the centre with a line of round cut blue sapphires, set flush in a channel of millegrain edged platinum. A truly striking set of dress studs, very much in the manner of Cartier. The back of the dress studs is in platinum, with loops enabling them to be attached to the fittings present in the case, allowing them to be used in place of buttons on a dress shirt. The dress shirt studs are in excellent condition and are presented in their original fitted case. Wear and tear acquiescent with age.
The dress studs measure 14mm wide, and 5mm deep (excluding fitting).
