Victorian Spanish Wedding Ring with Gold Heart and Key
About the Item
A Spanish Wedding ring comprised of Fifteen tiny flowers that suspend two chains, one holding a heart charm and the other a key. The charms sit atop of your finger proclaiming promised affection. Each flower rises from a gold engraved band and is made with spirals of gold wire suggesting petals that are centered with a gold bead. The ring is wonderfully worked with levels of texture. This ring style goes back hundreds of years and was given to Spanish brides for their wedding. It is 18kt gold and bears a worn coq, a French hallmark.French in origin. c.1880. It is currently a size 6 1/2. It should be sized only by a fine craftsman.
