Victorian Natural Pearl and Diamond Fly Ring
About the Item
This is an 18ct yellow gold diamond, pearl and ruby fly ring. The ring consists of natural black pearl which makes up part of the body while the wings have been set with rose cut diamonds and the eyes set with rubies. The head of the ring originally started life as a brooch.
The fly was removed from an antique brooch and masterfully converted into a ring with a shank archetypal of the Victorian era by the antique jewellery restorer/re-designer Gaetano Chiavetta.
