Eli Dweck Designs
The Cream of Cool and Collected

“Living rooms are always meant to be a fantasy — an expression of the client in material form,” declares Eli Dweck. In a Brooklyn townhouse, the New York City–based designer fulfilled the client’s fantasy of entertaining large groups in an elegant space brimming with personality. Even with a lively household that includes five children, the owners opted for creamy white upholstery. A long, inviting sofa by Kevin Waltz anchors the room, while curvaceous furnishings create a sense of movement. Among these are such 1stDibs finds as a bronze Troy coffee table by the sculptor Tom Corbin, a 1940s Swedish floor lamp, a pair of Maurizio Tempestini wooden armchairs and Julian Mayor’s 2015 metal Glenda chair. “The Mayor chair sparkles like a disco ball and surprises everyone with its unexpected comfort. The Tempestini chairs evoke the feeling of a summer picnic. And they all sit on a Beauvais rug that features tigers you want to play with,” Dweck says. “This room illustrates our signature style, because it’s a collection of pieces we truly love — if it isn’t your favorite chair, sofa or table, why buy it?”
