By Riccardo Rosso, Piero Derossi and Giorgio Ceretti, Gufram Furniture
Located in La Morra, Cuneo
PRATONE® FOREVER is the version which was born to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the timeless icon PRATONE®, a myth which reinvents itself and becomes eternal, approaching the dimension of furnishing more and more. While maintaining its soft polyurethane soul – a material which has always characterized Gufram products – PRATONE® FOREVER changes its “skin”: originally covered in Guflac®, the special paint invented and patented by the company to coat its creations in polyurethane while still maintaining their softness and elasticity, this special edition is covered in an elastic wool bouclé fabric that adheres perfectly to the eccentric forms of this out of the ordinary chair, ensuring excellent resistance to wear and tear. Please note: this piece is on exhibition only at the 1stdibs Gallery. Purchased pieces will be shipped directly from our production site in Italy. Production lead times are often flexible and stock levels vary. Materials: Settee in soft polyurethane upholstered with bouclé wool. Variations: We have 3 colour variations of our Pratone Forever...

Vintage Louis XVI Style Italian Giltwood Wall Mirror in Floral Basket Form
Located in Morristown, NJ
First half 20th century, Italy, a lovely giltwood mirror in the Louis XVI style. The mirror is in the form of a large flower basket with tied ribbon crest, the basket handle is entwined with an asymmetrical meandering vine. The mirror looks to be original. The back is wood paneled. The carving of a straight basket base would allow for use as an overmantel mirror. This mirror would be a great addition to a smart powder room, entryway or guest bedroom to name a few possibilities. It is an unusual and beautiful form, and not one that we have seen before. Note: We sell a number of beautiful antique and...

Coming to Life Table
By Nada Debs
Located in Paris, FR
This unique piece is part of the ‘Coming To Life’ collection designed by much-acclaimed designer in the Near and Middle East Nada Debs, renowned for cleverly distilling culture and craftsmanship in works imbued with emotional resonance. The materials Nada chooses all tell a tactile story. For her, the human hand is a voice, and the artisan a storyteller. In this table, the organic wood top retains its natural state, contrasting with the sloping, spiral legs in mother-of-pearl inlay. A perfect balance is achieved in these combinations of noble materials, natural textures and handcrafted patterns. Nada Debs grew up in Japan in a Lebanese family. She is a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design in the United States. Nada has spent significant periods of time living and traveling around the world...

Wardrobe Sideboard with Drawers in Canaletto Walnut by Accardibuccheri Medulum
By Mauro Accardi & Silvia Buccheri
Located in Meolo, Venezia
The curved and straight lines, the solids and voids, the austerity and lightness; and, above all, the refined lightness of the arches which follow on from each other at a constant rhythm. The Arcate collection of furniture represents a stated homage to one of the essential architectural elements – the arch in its typical variation of Romanesque constructions, present in various areas of the Veneto region such as some of the smaller islands of the Venetian lagoon – consisting of seven-drawer chests, dressers and bedside tables...

They say 3 is the magic number, and we’re inclined to agree when it comes to this set of ‘70s Amanta armchairs by B&B / C&B Italia. Swathed in the timeless florals of House of Hackney’s PERSEPHONE print jacquard, each has its own personality, in ‘Noir’, ‘Verdigris’ and ‘Tourmaline’. Pair Blue and White Delft Dishes or Plates Hand Painted England Circa 1760
Located in Katonah, NY
This gorgeous pair of blue and white English Delft plates was made in Bristol, England, circa 1760. The lovely floral decoration is hand painted in shades of cobalt blue on a light cobalt blue ground. One flower on the vine stretches rim to rim from the border on one side into the well of the dish and then across the well and onto the border again. This is an exquisite design well painted! REFERENCE: for a very similar English delftware plate, see English Delftware in the Bristol Collection, by Frank Briton, pg 191, plates 12.29 and 12.30, where Briton states that the origin of the dish was probably in one of the factories in Bristol, England circa 1760 Dimensions: 9" diameter Condition: Excellent with small edge chips invisibly restored Price: $1,550 Background of English Delft: The art of making Delft began in England in the Mid-1500s. An English delftware jug has been found in East Malling, Kent, with a silver mount hallmarked 1550, which is presumed to be the earliest English delftware manufacture date. John Stow's Survey of London (1598) records the arrival in 1567 of two Antwerp potters, Jasper Andries and Jacob Jansen, in Norwich, where they made "Gally Paving Tiles...

Japanese Meiji Period Satsuma Bowl Kinkozan
By Kinkozan
Located in Newark, England
From our Japanese collection, we are delighted to offer this Japanese Meiji period Satsuma Bowl by Kinkozan. The earthenware bowl with pinched rim extensively decorated on both the exterior and interior. The bowl with a cobalt blue base glaze decorated to the borders with gilt shippo-tsunagi (linked-cash) with scattered medallion roundells. Around the exterior two elongated scenes are featured, one with boys playing games in a courtyard with the other featuring seated scholars in full dress both with raised enamel decoration. The interior features a central scene with Samurai warriors in training fully armoured with swords in a courtyard with landscapes scenes to the background. The central scene bordered by further stylised shippo-tsunagi type decoration with a greek key rim border. The bowl signed to the base Kinkozan dating to the Meiji Period (1868-1912) circa 1900. Shippo-Tsunagi (linked-cash) or seven treasures, is a traditional Japanese geometric pattern that combines four ellipses in a circle. These ellipses repeat outward to then create more circles, symbolising eternal peace and happiness. Kinkozan the Kinkozan family have been associated with pottery dating back to 1645. They went on to become the largest producer of Satsuma ware by one individual company, from the end of the 19th century until 1927 after which the factory closed. By the 1850s Kobayashi Sobei (1824-84), Kinkozan Sobei...
