Set of two “Senior” Armchairs, Jorge Zalszupin. Brazil, 1960s

About the Item

Set of two “Senior” armchairs designed by Jorge Zalszupin and produced by l’Atelier in 1960s. An inverted T-shaped chrome steel structure supports seat and backrest. The width of the seat and the curved backrest, that hugs the back, make this armchair a very comfortable piece. Its original geometry means that the armchair can be observed from 360 degrees, which makes it perfect to be placed in the center of a large room. The chrome has some small marks and the usual patina due to the passage of years, the cushions have been reupholstered with a soft red color fabric. The characteristics of the great Brazilian designer are present in these armchairs: originality, elegance, comfort and lightness.
