Vintage Pair of ‘Landmark’ Cane Chairs by Ward Bennett for Brickel, 1970, Mohair

About the Item

Beautiful vintage pair of cane and ash “Landmark” armchairs designed by Ward Bennett for Brickel - 1970s. A personal favorite, these examples still retain their original green mohair seat cushions. Good looking as they are comfortable, the frames are a steamed bent ash giving the design a sculptural quality. The original golden finish is still in nice vintage condition. The cane also with a nice patina and coloring. The original cushions have wear to the very back welt or pipping where it meets the bottom of the cane back rest. It is not visible from front or back when in place. Please see detailed pictures. This design would be a lovely addition to an office, home office, in front of a desk, den, commercial space or living room accent chairs.
