Model 316 chair by Peter Hvidt & Orla Mølgaard Nielsen for Soborg Mobelfabrik, Denmark. This chair, made in the 1950s, features a teak frame and newly woven paper cord seat. Hvidt & Mølgaard had an established design and architectural firm where they became pioneers in Danish design that advanced the industrialized production of furniture. They both retired in 1975, designing over 256 pieces of furniture together over the course of their careers. Dimensions: 19" width x 16" depth x 30" height; 17” seat height Condition: Excellent restored condition; new paper cord; teak has been professionally refinished.
