About the Item

Marly free standing bookcase by Afra and Tobia Scarpa for Molteni. The piece "develops the theme of tensile structure; the main supports are two lateral uprights with faceted outsides. Branching tubes and crossed ties are used to connect and strengthen the shelves, creating an effective decorative motif." (text courtesy from: Afra and Tobia Scarpa Architects 1959 1999 by R.
