Giuseppe Scognamiglio Art
Giuseppe Scognamiglio was born in Italy in 1901 and began painting when he was very young, following in the footsteps of the last exponents of the School of Resina, also known as the Republic of Portici, founded in 1863. He soon became one of the most talented exponents of Neapolitan Impressionism of the early 20th century. His landscapes rest in the calm and sweetness of a sentimental emotion that derives from the daily relationship with nature and the environmental reality. His still lifes are gorgeous too, they are realized with precise design, calibrated tones, measured perspectives, taken by the careful eye and traced by the sure hand.
