Vintage 1930 Chanel Haute Couture Documented Velvet Scarf-Neck Sculpted Cape
By Chanel
Located in Beverly Hills, CA
Chanel is known to be one of the most luxurious and decadent fashion houses in the world. This breathtaking and ultra rare documented evening cape from her 1930-31 collection is a perfect example of why this couture brand has stood the test of time. Chanel from this era is extremely hard to find and the only similar garment we found is held at The Metropolitan Museum of Art of New York. Not only is this cape incredibly elegant; it is so versatile and timeless. I adore the luxurious two-tone brown and caramel panne velvet. Closes in a gorgeous scarf-neck design complete with stunning sculpted round shoulder line work. A beautiful museum quality Chanel show...

Vintage 1969 Thea Porter Couture Rare 'Samawa' Embroidered Wool Documented Coat
By Thea Porter Couture, Thea Porter
Located in Beverly Hills, CA
An ultra rare and highly coveted Thea Porter Couture ‘Samawa’ colorful woven wool coat dating back to her fall-winter 1969 collection. An example of this gorgeous garment can be found in the book 'Thea Porter: Bohemian Chic' by Laura McLaws Helms and Venetia Porter on page 60. This is a such a unique and truly iconic piece within her body of work. I adore the vibrant abstract natural yarn pattern work, which was inspired by Iraqi 'Samawa' carpets, as well as the side hemline slits that reveal a luxurious black satin lining. The rabbit fur trim is so incredibly soft and the zip-up front closure makes this piece so wearable. An almost identical coat was even featured in British Vogue's Fall 1970 issue, shot by the famous Barry Lategan. During this period, Thea Porter's clothing attracted many celebrity customers who enjoyed wearing her erotic creations whose secret was to conceal rather than reveal. Her clients, some of whom also became her friends, included Lauren Bacall, Bianca Jagger, Mick Jagger, Sharon Tate, Elizabeth Taylor, and Pete Townshend. This magical garment originally sold at Giorgio’s of Beverly Hills which is less than a mile away from our boutique! A truly important museum worthy coat by the queen of the bohemian fashion...

Vintage 1915 Liberty Paris Couture Lilac Wool & Colorful Lace Art-Nouveau Cape
By Liberty & Co.
Located in Beverly Hills, CA
Breathtaking Liberty Paris Couture wool cape dating back to the mid 1910's. Liberty was one of the first designers to embrace the Art-Nouveau movement. The fashion house saw the need to make fashions that were more stylish, but at the same time keep classic aesthetics. The detailed construction and meticulous attention to detail in this garment are comparable to what you will find in modern haute-couture. Our extravagant cape retains a regal, unstructured comfort. The beautiful lilac-purple color can definitely works for all seasons. I adorable the gorgeous multi-colored print lace trim and dramatic backside tassel. The low to high waterfall full-length reads so incredibly modern, it's almost hard to believe this show-stopper is 100 years old. The same cape, in a different color, is also housed at The Metropolitan Museum of Art. This magnificent antique garment...

Vintage 1910's Henriette Favre Paris Couture Embroidered Net-Lace Fringed Jacket
Located in Beverly Hills, CA
A magnificent and ultra rare Henriette Favre haute couture embroidered black net-lace jacket dating back to the mid 1910's. Only a handful of her garments seem to exist; a few gorgeous gowns located in the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s costume collection and a beautiful evening coat at the Fashion Archives Museum in Pennsylvania. Henriette Favre had a storefront at 5 Rue de la Paix, Paris and also imported to the United States through Wanamaker’s, a famous high-end department store at the time. Henriette Favre was included amongst such fashion designers as the House of Worth, Paquin, Doucet and Drecoll from Vienna. Favre had established herself as a premiere designer by 1900. She dressed Alexandra of Denmark, Queen of the United Kingdom from 1901 to 1910. This jacket is an extraordinary wearable example of Edwardian beauty and a special find for the serious collector. We added many pictures so you can appreciate the months of couture skill that went into this piece. The unique unstructured style is strikingly modern yet the abundance of handmade embroidered roses and soutache workmanship on the sheer net is a treasure trove of antique needle...

Vintage 1970's Harella of England Teal Blue-Green Velvet Back Belted Maxi Coat
Located in Beverly Hills, CA
This ultra-chic early 1970's Harella of England maxi coat will make any woman shine during cold months ahead. The fabric itself is gorgeous; vibrant teal blue-green midweight cotton-velvet. I love the matching brass buttons and long, lean cuffed sleeves. Shaped with a-line seams that flare out in a slight swing-skirt, the figure flattering cut adds fullness to the skirt without adding bulk in the hips. Complete with a back mock-belt and hidden pockets. The mark of a truly fashionable garment is that it remains current event 50 years later, as does this statement coat...

Vintage 1989 Yves Saint Laurent Leopard Print Cotton Twill Trench Jacket w/Tags
By Yves Saint Laurent
Located in Beverly Hills, CA
Chic Yves Saint Laurent leopard print cotton-twill trench jacket from the infamous Rive Gauche collection during spring-summer of 1989. Pieces from this collection are very rare and are true examples of fashion history. I adore the cuffed-sleeves and front duel pockets. The jacket features hidden buttons and a sexy back-slit. It is wearable and comfortable, yet has its own iconic elements. The best part of all is, the trench is in mint never worn condition! "In the mid-1970s the relevance of haute couture was seriously debated. The political and social upheaval of the 1960s, the emergence of a plethora of creative ready-to-wear designers, and the increasing preference for a sportswear approach to dressing as represented by American fashion were among the shifts in lifestyles and taste that appeared to sound the death knell of the calcified and elitist world of the maisons de couture. It was at this time that Yves Saint Laurent, haute couture’s preeminent practitioner, threw caution to the prevailing winds with a collection of unrivaled fantasy and luxury." Jean Paul Gaultier Cyberbaba Cyberdot Optical Illusion 1995 Coat Jacket Dress
By Jean Paul Gaultier
Located in PARIS, FR
Iconic Cyberbaba dress by Jean Paul Gaultier! From the Autumn/Winter 1995 Collection! For sale is an iconic and rare Jean Paul Gaultier Cyberdot Quilted Dress from his Autumn-Winter 1995 collection that has been inspired by the 1979 film 'Mad Max' and Victor Vasarely. Made of quilted wool/nylon fabric, the computer-generated spot pattern reflect the contours of the female body, with spot-print allover. It can be worn as a dress or a coat/sweater. Museum piece! The same dress is displayed in The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York. You can find it in its online collection. Description from the MET`s archivum: Jean Paul Gaultier's collection "Femmes Amazone" was accessorized, according to Women's Wear Daily, with "whips and sundry other Mad Max accessories." His inspiration, ostensibly, was the mythic Amazon and the contemporary equestrian. This dress is a version of the body-conscious sheathes he showed in the runway presentation under sweeping coats. With an ombréed and graduated dot pattern, Gaultier creates the illusion of a shadowed trompe l'oeil body wearing a bikini. The essential modesty of the padded and quilted sweater dress is subverted by this overprinted body, which emerges like an X ray, and by Gaultier's exploitation of the stretch of the synthetic knit to fit the dress like a second skin. Gaultier makes one of his whimsical references to the pop culture of his childhood in rendering the "itsy bitsy teenie weenie yellow polka dot bikini" of Brian Hyland's 1960 hit single. The pattern are worn by a lot of celebrites, such as Kim Kardashian, Iggy Azalea, Cardi B...
