The program for this smart one bedroom apartment on New York’s Upper East Side was to make it exciting and elegant while accommodating large numbers of family and friends. Overlooking the Frick Museum and with a view to nearby Central Park the apartment already had a great address. The interior, however, was conventional and gloomy. We made our statement right from the rosewood paneled front door which opens onto a knockout graphic entrance gallery. A spacious and elegant living room is adjacent to a silk damask paneled dining room and the master bedroom is a sunny and serene retreat.
