About Garance Rousseau

Garance Rousseau is a full-service interior design studio based in Los Angeles and New York.

Founded by French designer Garance Rousseau, the studio’s approach is shaped by her upbringing in both Versailles and Los Angeles—two places known for their refined palettes and rich architectural heritage. From that lens, a deep appreciation for handcrafted processes was born.

Garance leads her team in designing spaces that are not only beautiful but deeply attuned to the rhythms of daily life. It is her belief that a home should offer beauty, warmth, and pleasure; that each home has its own story to tell; and that great design is both invigorating and unexpected.

Each project centers around the unique needs of the client, while also honoring the inherent spirit of the home—its architecture and character. Rather than subscribing to a specific era, or genre, Garance Rousseau approaches each project with flexibility— engaging with a broad spectrum of architectural styles and offering a lasting sense of relevance. Focusing on private residences, the studio’s mission is to balance old and new, classic and unconventional, understated and bold. Garance Rousseau is especially passionate about working with older homes, drawing on her team’s experience with residential restoration. Much of what the studio sources is vintage, custom, and one-of-a-kind.

The studio takes on only a select number of projects at a time to ensure close collaboration and thoughtful attention to detail.

Some of the studio’s current projects include the renovation of a classic Hollywood home, an estate by the sea in Maine, a mid-century home in Laguna Beach, and an apartment on the Upper East Side in New York.

Garance Rousseau has been featured in The New York Times, Architectural Digest, The World of Interiors, and Upstate Diary.
