Kern Jewelry Set Gold Turquoise Cabochon Sapphire Diamond

Acerca del artículo

A bold and joyful Kern’s jewelry set made of 18k gold, featuring turquoise cabochon, sapphires and diamonds. The set includes a ring, a pair of earrings, and a brooch. Each piece is designed to highlight turquoise cabochons, with their vivid color and organic matrix patterns. The turquoise’s irregular pattern gives the set an organic feel. Every jewel is framed by a floral cluster of round brilliant cut and single cut diamonds, punctuated by round faceted sapphires in deep blue. The diamonds are set to follow the movement of petal-like gold shapes. The brooch anchors the set with its larger size, while the earrings and ring mirror the brooch proportions on a smaller scale. These irregular settings lend lively energy to the design. The sense of balance of this set makes it easy to wear together or separately without being too matched. This vintage set is made of 18 karat (stamped) yellow and white gold and features oval cabochon turquoise, round brilliant cut and single cut diamonds and round faceted blue sapphires. The ring - turquoise measures 15.2 x 11.5 x 6.2 mm and weighs approximately 8.0 carats. The diamonds are of G-H color, VS clarity, total weight approximately 0.24 carat. The sapphire total weight is approximately 0.68 carat. Ring size 6.5-6.75, resizable. Ring top measurements 1" x 3/4" x 3/8" (2.8 x 2 x 1.2 cm). Ring weighs 14.2 grams. The sapphire total weight is approximately 1.60 carats. Earrings measure 1 1/4" x 7/8" x 1/2" (3.2 x 2.4 x 1.2 cm) and weigh 26.0 grams. The brooch - turquoise measures 15.1 x 14.5 x 11.1 mm and weighs. The turquoise total weight is approximately 18.0 carats. The diamonds are of G-H color, VS clarity, total weight approximately 1.90 carats. The sapphire total weight is approximately 0.90 carat. Brooch measures 1 1/2" x 1 3/8" x 3/4" (4 x 3.7 x 1.5 cm) and weighs 21.3 grams. The set is stamped with Kern maker's mark, hallmarks for 18k gold, serial numbers. About Kern Jewelry: Kern Fine Jewelry has been a cornerstone of the Burlingame community since 1944, when it first opened its doors to serve customers seeking quality jewelry and timepieces. Over the decades, Kern has grown from a small storefront into a trusted destination for fine jewelry, luxury watches, and personalized service. In 1988 Kern became one of the original ten authorized retailers worldwide to represent Tiffany & Co. They marked that significant milestone by consolidating its two smaller locations into one larger space. The business continued to expand in 1997, taking over an adjacent space to introduce dedicated boutiques for Tiffany & Co. and Bulgari. The family legacy continued as Greg and Sue Mendell's sons joined the business. Today, Kern remains a family-owned and operated establishment. Kern is proud to be an official Rolex jeweler and an authorized Rolex service center, offering a curated selection of luxury timepieces. Their estate collection features a diverse range of vintage and antique jewelry and watches, including pieces from renowned designers like Tiffany & Co. Whether you're searching for a timeless engagement ring, a distinctive estate piece, or a luxury timepiece, Kern Fine Jewelry combines tradition, quality, and personalized service to help you find the perfect jewel. About Turquoise Jewelry: Turquoise, with its vibrant blue-green hues, has been a cherished gemstone for centuries. In vintage jewelry design, turquoise holds a special place. The name “turquoise” came from the French pierre tourques and translates as a “Turkish stone.” The mineral was first transported to the west through Turkey from mines in the historical Khorasan province of Iran (Persia) and Afghanistan. Pre-Columbian Native Americans mined the stone throughout nowadays. In all these cultures turquoise was considered as a protective stone for warriors and symbolized the connection to heaven. In the 17th century wearing turquoise jewelry was a must for a well-dressed gentleman. The stone was popular to the point when all the emeralds in the crown that Napoleon I gave Empress Marie Louise were replaced with Persian turquoise cabochons. Today Persian turquoise is beloved by jewelry aficionados for its warm, calming color. It may vary from sky-blue to green. As to the dark veins, it depends on your preferences and a certain piece. Some jewelry collectors prefer turquoise with a web pattern of matrix as it adds character to a piece. The versatility of turquoise allows it to be used into various designs. Smooth cabochon cut turquoise is a common choice for vintage jewelry. Beadwork is also a popular technique that showcases turquoise's unique color. Turquoise is often associated with the American Southwest, where Native American artisans have been using the stone for centuries. Vintage turquoise jewelry, influenced by Native American craftsmanship, often features silverwork, geometric patterns, and symbolic motifs.
