Central Park West Modern
Jessica was hired in January 2020 to work on a gut renovation of a two bedroom at the prestigious 15 Central Park West building in New York City. The clients had a distinct vision for space; a modern, pristine and bespoke home using the finest materials and craftsmanship
Working closely with an architect to achieve the fully oak wood paneled apartment, using the finest joinery was the first step. The bathrooms were fully crafted in slab stone with Dornbracht faucets and custom door hardware by Merit Metal, and the kitchen is by Poggenpohl.
After envisioning the austere shell of the apartment, Jessica began the furnishings with the same intentions; clean lines and perfect symmetry as the client had requested.
As the project evolved, Jessica was able to add art and her signature sculptural details to bring softness, a sense of movement, and personalization to the home.
In the living room Jessica placed a Holly Hunt sofa with an oxidized steel coffee table by Stephane Ducatteau. The Amazona Chair from Jessica’s Lusitano Collection in black alpaca and horsehair adds a touch of the unexpected. A sculpture from 1stDibs and Japanese painting from Ippodo Gallery complete the main living space.
In the dining area, the lighting is by William Guillon, with a table custom made by Jessica. The bar is hidden within the wall paneling and produced by Amuneal.
In the den, a custom desk is paired with a chair by Martasala and a coffee table by Henge 07. The chair is by Heyman Edition. The den also features a vintage brutalist wall sculpture curated by Jessica. In the master bedroom, the bed and nightstands were custom, while the bedside pendants are by Konekt and the corner is occupied by a sculptural chair from Maria Karlove Galerie in Amsterdam.
In the foyer, Jessica placed an artwork by Etienne Moyat above an Alexander Lamont bronze bench and stool by Hamrei. All rugs throughout were handmade in Nepal, and custom designed for the space by Jessica.
