Northern California Residence
Long-time, adventurous clients continually design and update the interiors of this Tudor Revival house. Set amidst five acres of lushly planted gardens, it evokes the warmth and charm of an English country manor, with diamond-paned windows, seventeenth-century linenfold paneling, and carved oak fireplaces imported from England. The goal was to give the existing furnishings more emphasis, updating their color, scale, and texture for a stronger sculptural presence within a classical setting coupled with modern art. Our interior architecture department reconfigured the master suite. The crown jewel of the design was the wife’s dressing room. Elements like mirrored crown moldings, silver-leafed pilasters, antiqued mirrored walls, and a custom designed vitrine make the space glamorous and luxurious.
