It is a later model vintage Seamaster. Built at a time when the quartz revolution was taking hold and Omega was cutting costs. It measures 34.5mm in diameter, in between the size of the Rolex Date and the Rolex Datejust. It previously had an expertly done restoration. It has fully Omega parts and presents in beautifully restored condition. The case, with its timeless design, presents as mint with only slight signs of previous polishing. The dial has been meticulously restored. The markers show light aging - otherwise it presents as mint, and the printing could pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye. We have been trying to bring some of our long-term restoration projects across the finish line. Three of our Master Watchmakers have worked for over *11* years sympathetically restoring the watch to breathe new life into it again for future generations, and it became a much bigger project than originally anticipated (a $2195 value.) Our loss is your gain. As part of the restoration, the fine caliber 1010 movement has been freshly expertly overhauled by a Master Watchmaker. We have also timed it on a machine that spins it in all directions simulating it being worn on the wrist, and it is keeping accurate time. For the finishing touch, we have meticulously detailed making it ready for immediate enjoyment. Included with the purchase is a one-year warranty on the movement and its function and a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity. La légende de Omega veut que la Speedmaster Professional Chronograph de la marque ait été la première montre à effectuer un alunissage. Mais l'amour universel pour montres Omega vintage ne se limite pas aux astronomes, et l'héritage de l'entreprise ne se limite pas à l'histoire de la Moonwatch.

Les origines de la maison remontent à 1848, date à laquelle l'horloger suisse Louis Brandt s'est installé pour la première fois. Ses fils Louis-Paul et César ont pris la relève après sa mort et, en 1894, ils ont créé un nouveau mouvement fascinant.

Non seulement il était très précis, mais chaque pièce était remplaçable, ce qui permettait à tout professionnel de l'entretenir facilement. Les Calle ont appelé leur mouvement l'Omega, et comme sa popularité s'est répandue, ils ont changé le nom de leur entreprise pour celui de son produit phare.

Grâce en partie à sa réputation de robustesse et aux liens d'Omega avec l'armée britannique, elle est devenue la montre préférée de James Bond en 1995, apparaissant dans GoldenEye et dans tous les films Bond qui ont suivi ; elle est revenue dans No Time to Die en 2021. Néanmoins, la plus célèbre des Omega est de loin la Speedmaster , introduite en 1957. Premier chronographe à afficher son échelle tachymétrique sur la lunette et non sur le cadran pour une meilleure lisibilité, il a été rapidement adopté par les ingénieurs et les scientifiques.

Portée par Buzz Aldrin lors de la mission lunaire Apollo 11 en 1969, c'est la seule montre certifiée par la NASA pour les activités extravéhiculaires (marches dans l'espace) - et, à notre connaissance, la seule approuvée par l'agence spatiale russe.
