Beverly Hills Andalusian

This 1928 Andalusian-style house was almost intact, and we furnished it in a modern Mediterranean style, mixing old and new. The interiors are distinguished architecturally by a rich vocabulary of deeply set niches, arched, beams, moldings, beautifully plastered walls, and dramatic spaces. I kept the house spare of extra ornament, painting everything white as a backdrop for the owners growing collection of strong pieces of furniture, and to give the house a light, contemporary feel.

This beautiful house needed very little alteration to make it comfortable.
