Both honoring while playfully subverting the vocabulary of its 1920’s Spanish Revival architecture, Studio Roene’s Julia Sobrepeña King’s Los Angeles pied-à-terre was reimagined in the fantasy spirit of a 1980’s art loft. The designer embraces spaces that spark conversation, defining elegance as an expert dash of quirk . So when it came to decorating her LA home, King embraced contrast and tension as an alternative way to celebrate the home’s details without pandering to expectations of how a classic Spanish Revival interior should look and feel.
