Modern Minimalism

This 1940s Colonial came with great bones, but was dark and dated. It was completely redesigned to reflect the client's love of mid-century modern design through the use of curved furnishings, clean lines, and solid hues. The homeowners were able to modernize the home and add special architectural details by incorporating beautiful millwork such as dentil crown molding, panel molding, and a new wooden fireplace mantel adorned with a limestone surround. Rich textures, beautiful artwork, and unique decorative items–including vintage marble vases sourced from Europe, glazed pottery, and iron-clad accent pieces—complete the home’s refined and elegant style.
