Già in passato l'argento, chiamato "metallo lunare" perché si dice che nessun altro metallo esistente al mondo avesse questo particolare colore, era considerato uno status symbol, quando l'usanza di ricevere gli ospiti a casa era considerata una forma d'arte. Di questo era fermamente convinto il fondatore di ARVAL ARGENTI VALENZA, Luciano Sacco, che nel 1967 decise di realizzare il suo sogno e dare continuità alla tradizione argentiera di famiglia, specializzandosi in argenteria del XX secolo.
