A two story colonnade of walnut burl flat panels divides this apartment, in the historic Hotel des Artistes building, into a magnificent double height entertaining space flanked by the more private support functions of bedrooms, a kitchen, and a library. There are banks of glazed wood sash that allow these support rooms to be opened or closed as required, always providing natural light and a relationship to the bigger space.
