Mauve Manor
Our Mauve Manor project was a sensitive restoration and modernization of a stately 1929 stone mansion on the North Shore of Chicago. Though home to a lively young family, it was imperative to retain key historical elements wherever possible. Ceramic tile floors, plaster walls, steel windows, stone fireplaces, and quirky details were preserved while adapting the space to their active lifestyle.
Renovations included a full kitchen and butler’s pantry overhaul, a complete reimagining of the primary bath and closet, and partial updates to children's bathrooms that maintained vintage sinks and flooring. A newly designed bar, sunroom and dining room were refreshed to reflect the home’s original character with an emphasis on natural materials that complemented the home's architectural heritage. The overall aesthetic blends comfort and eclecticism for an artful abode fitted for family.
