A private clubhouse on the grounds of a Montecito hotel recalls the sun-soaked romance of travel at sea in the 1930s. A beachfront, daytime level captures the high-style details of a majestic oceanliner. An evening level above emulates the sultry and glamorous tradition of clubs and speakeasies of the great hotels of the time. Deco wave patterns in gleaming mosaic, sparkling mirror and metalwork, tailored leatherwork, highly varnished, yachtlike millwork. Murals of Jazz Age characters watch over and toast the festivities.
