Serenbe Primary Bedroom Showhouse
The 2nd annual Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles Serenbe Designer Showhouse was a low country-style home designed by J.P. Curran of Curran & Co. Architects and built by Monte Hewett Homes. Nestled among trees with lake views, this complex is part of the Serenbe community just outside Atlanta, Georgia, a creative space focused on process, education, and fostering artistic collaboration. Ramsay Nye departed from their colorful norm to design the primary bedroom in a natural, textural, and creamy palette, with hints of moodiness introduced through charcoal gray and black hues. Serendipitously enough, when pondering the initial design of this sun-drenched room, they stopped in to visit Laura Aviva of l'aviva home in New York City. Enchanted not only by the earthy, hand-painted charcoal patterns of her new Khovar textile and wallpaper collection, but by the story behind it, they proudly debuted her Vine pattern as the wall tapestry—which landed their room on the cover of the magazine.
