So Fresh, So Clean
Laura Marino for Studio L, London (or Studio L for short) transformed a standard one-bedroom apartment in a newly built central London residential block into a stylish, sartorial retreat inspired by André 3000’s dapper fashion, the playful energy of Outkast’s song “So Fresh, So Clean,” and a touch of Wes Anderson’s whimsy. The result is a memorable 700-square-foot apartment filled with joyful flair and panache.
To create a functional yet high-style interior within a compact space, Marino blended bespoke furniture with her signature mix of vintage and antique pieces, maintaining aesthetic charm and a reduced carbon footprint. Marino's commitment to upcycling shines through as she repurposed unwanted items into unrecognizable treasures that align perfectly with the project’s vision. Custom-designed furniture, from the made-to-measure bed to the versatile bedroom desk/vanity/dresser and a dining table for four, ensures every piece serves its purpose while enhancing the apartment’s functionality and personality.
