About the Item

Eight Artworks is an original artwork realized by Jean Lurçat in the 1930s. Phototypes on paper. The artwork includes eight sheets realized by the artist and published by Jean Bucher, Paris, and printed by Duval in 1933. The phototypes and the cover are in good conditions. The back cover presents two rips on the lower margin. The eight artworks represent eight different black and white compositions. The phototypes were printed from eight original drawings. Edition of 500 prints. The first eight prints are numbered in pencil by the artist from 1 to 8, and they include the original drawings. The first sheet presents the index with the different titles of the artworks: 1. noblesse européennes 2. le seigneur individu 3. la lyre 1932 4. derniers monuments aux victimes de l'idéalisme 5. s.o.s. 6. le radeau de la méduse 7. après ça on recommence 8. une étoile sans étable.
