How are Asafo flags made?
1 Answer
Asafo flags are made from trade cloth and damask. The appliqué figures are copied from paper patterns and are two-sided. If there is a Union Jack in the top left-hand corner, it dates the flag to before Ghanaian independence in 1957. On 1stDibs, find a collection of authentic Asafo flags from some of the world’s top sellers.
