How does a flush mount fitting work?

A flush mount sits directly on the ceiling facing downward with the help of a bracket fastened into the ceiling. When installing a flush mount, make sure to check wire lengths and match the wires as per color in the electrical box. The flush mount fittings cover the wire box and can be fastened with screws.
