What is the difference between a hutch and a breakfront?
1 Answer
The difference between a hutch and a breakfront is their shape. Both types of storage furniture feature sectioned designs. On a breakfront, the center sections are deeper, causing them to project outward more than the rest of the piece. A hutch normally has sections of equal depth. Some also have protruding shelves.
