Leonardo Nierman (Mexican, b. 1932) Springtime, 20th century Watercolor on paper 12 x 18 in. Framed: 19 1/2 x 25 1/3 in. Signed lower left: NIERMAN Provenance: Collection of Harry Glass, Long Island A leader in modern Mexican art, Leonardo Nierman creates paintings of abstract landscapes that are highly colorful and full of motion and velocity as though propelled by music. He also has had a wide following in the United States. In 1972, he had a major exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art in Mexico City and from that time has had exhibition venues throughout the world including the United States, Italy, Israel, Australia, Spain and Japan.
