Signed lower left, 'Marianne K. Brown' (American, 20th century); additionally signed, verso, with certification of authenticity and dated 1987.
Brown has taught watercolor and design for thirty years. Her work has been shown in many art magazines, including Watercolor Magic and The International Artist Magazine, and several books on watercolor painting.
She lives in Moraga, California and was elected secretary of Orange County Art Association according to the Los Angeles Times, June 11, 1964;
In the exhibition of the Orange County Art Association, she won third place in non-figurative exhibition according to the Los Angeles Times, October 8, 1964
