Caricature by George Wachsteter (1911-2004) for CBS-TV`s `Step on the Gas` starring Hans Conried, Shirley Jones, Pat Carroll & Jackie Cooper, in the Max Liebman musical comedy review, a special presentation of `The United States Steel Hour`, promoted as `a high-powered musical about motor-mad America... a solid hour of fun on wheels.` Telecast on Oct 19, 1960.. Artwork appeared on the cover of the Oct 16, 1960 cover of the New York Journal-American TView Magazine. On 15" x 20" illustration board with overlay of colored pencil and graphite. Includes copies of the orginal magazine. 14" x 9 1/2" image. Very good condition.
