Trees is an Original Charcoal Drawing realized by Pino della Selva (1904-1991).
Good condition included a white cardboard passpartout (70x50.5 cm).
Hand-signed by the artist on the lower left corner.
Pino della Selva (pseudonym of Giuseppe Giuffrida ) is a painter , sculptor , draftsman and engraver ( etching and woodcut ), also a poet and art critic , born onJune 22 , 1904 in Catania ( Sicily ), settled in Paris in 1931 (lived at 31, rue La Bruyère ), and died onJanuary 12 , 1991 in Marseilles. His painted work, which in a first period is oriented towards themes of a social nature ( Blind people at work in 1925, Workers in 1932) comparable to those of the French Édouard Pignon and André Fougeron, then positions itself in the continuity of symbolism and surrealism , Gino Raya noting, in his monograph devoted to our artist a realistic pictorial profession where the deformations solicited by onirism , even by hallucinations , are felt.
