Italian artist Rosanna Gaddoni gets her inspiration from the beauty of people and nature. In her soft style she is able to create silence in her work, to capture form and beauty, and able to show the story behind the drawing.
Rosanna Gaddoni (b. 1972) is an Italian award-winning realist artist, currently based in the Netherlands.
After a corporate career, she started a series of art courses, first at the Tekenschool of Rijksmuseum and at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam, then in private ateliers. She has followed the two-year course in Leiden, for Sumi-e instructor (Japanese ink brush technique).
Gaddoni's art has been internationally exhibited and awarded. In the PleinAir Salon International Art Competition, she collected 3rd place overall, two 'Best Drawing', 'Best Animal and Birds', and 4 Honorable Mention awards. She is three times award winner in three different categories in the last Members Only Competition international contest held by the Portrait Society of America, in December 2022 (two finalists and one placement award), and 2nd placement award in 2021. She exhibited at the Summer Exhibition 2022 at the Royal Academy of Arts in London. She won a Finalist award in the Boldbrush contest and she is a Finalist with two works in two categories in the 16th Art Renewal Center Salon.
Gaddoni’s artworks are part of private collections worldwide. In 2021 and 2022 she has been invited by Copelouzos Family to be part of the permanent collection of the CFA Museum in Greece.

- Pritzlaff - 1903, Male Wielding an Ax, Wearing an Aviator Hat, Charcoal DrawingBy David BeckerLocated in Chicago, ILWhile charcoal is naturally a loose drawing medium, David Becker uses it with precision. With a rich range of value and strong darks, Becker captures the fine details with exacting clarity. In his drawing "Pritzlaff - 1903", the subject, a male with a glazed look, is wielding an ax and pointing a finger at the viewer. This drawing is framed in a simple black frame. The artist has signed with his initials and year on the front and signed his full name on the back of the piece.
