About the Item
Vauro Senesi, known simply as Vauro (Pistoia, March 24, 1955), is an Italian cartoonist, editor, television personality and actor. He is among the best-known satirical cartoonists in Italy.
Satirical cartoonist and author, journalist, writer, regular contributor to Il Fatto Quotidiano, Left, historical contributor to Michele Santoro's TV shows Annozero and Servizio Pubblico with Marco Travaglio.
Born in Pistoia in 1955, he began his activity in 1977, founding with Pino Zac IL MALE, a cult magazine of Italian satire, which he resurrected with the complicity of Vincino. He left his mark on many newspapers, from Satyricon to Cuore, from Smemoranda to Boxer, from il manifesto to Corriere della sera. He has published, among others, "Kualid who couldn't dream," "The box of lost socks" (2010 Bancarella Selection Award), "Farabutto," "The breath of the dog," "Criticism of satirical reason," "History of a professor," "Tuscans in love," "Good morning professor," "The Queen of Kabul" (dedicated to Gino Strada).. In 2015, the anthology "Tutto Vauro" was released, collecting over 1,300 cartoons to celebrate "sixty years of age, forty years of career."
