A fine mid to late 20th century watercolour by English artist Eric Richard Sturgeon. This wonderful composition depicts two female figures with vuckets of milk next to a stone farmhouse. A field of dairy cows is visible in the distance.The light washes of watercolour and natural tones give the composition a timeless quality. Sturgeon painted mainly in watercolour, and developed a talent for the medium at an early age. His paintings depict architectural views of Southern towns and cities, with elegantly drawn figures that hark back to a simpler time. Signed. On watercolour paper.
