About the Item
A deft and confident pen and ink drawing showing rolling fields, interspersed with woodland with stark trees. A dog can be seen trotting down the side of the field at the left. The painting is unsigned yet is confidently in Suddaby's and fits with his choice of subject matter. The scratchy, casual line work mixed with areas of confident wash to create naive, strong shadows is very in line with this type of drawing by the artist.
The drawing has been presented in an early 20th Century black reeded frame with internal gilt slip, finished with a card mount.
