About the Item

Ernie Banks, aka "Mr. Cub" and "Mr. Sunshine", was a professional baseball player who starred in Major League Baseball as a shortstop and first baseman for the Chicago Cubs playing from 1953 to 1971. He was often referred to as the finest powerhouse hitter in baseball. Shown here playing at Ebetts Field which was home to the Brooklyn Dodgers.
