A fine sanguine chalk drawing on paper of Letitia aged about ten dating to around 1765. Unsigned, inscribed verso and presented in a 19th century mount and frame.
“When Letitia Preston Vallancey was born in 1754, in Cloyne, County Cork, Ireland, her father, General Charles Vallancey, was 23 and her mother, Mary Virgin, was 34. She married Admiral William O'Brien Drury in 1783, in Cloyne, County Cork, Ireland. They were the parents of at least 4 sons and 6 daughters. She died in November 1827, in England, United Kingdom, at the age of 73.”
