About the Item
Margot Glass' elegant, silvery graphite dandelion drawings belie the rigor of their process. Once the surface of the paper is prepared, Glass uses a stylus to carefully delineate the lacy quality of the puffy seeds and slender spines. Quivers and missteps are nearly impossible to remove or mask. The conscientious quality of making is distilled into the composition itself, further edifying these otherwise fallible objects. Otherwise flimsy weeds become precious in Margot’s work.
